When you load up a page of search results from Google, the first link will have a dotted box drawn around it. This shows which link is selected. If you press the up and down arrow keys, you can move backwards and forwards through the results, automatically going to the next page when you reach the bottom. To open a search result, press the return key.

All results links are automatically checked to make sure they still exist, and contain the search terms you looked for. If a page is missing, a small 404 message will appear in red next to the link. If the page is there, but doesn't contain some of the terms you looked for, those will show up in red with a line through them.

When you open a result link, every word on that page that you searched for is marked with yellow highlighter, to make it easy to find what you're looking for.

Press the P key when you're on a page of Google results, and you'll see the selected link previewed in the right half of the window. Move the selection up and down, and more results will be shown as previews.
